How to read the planner
The planner answers one question: which vehicle class is likely to fit this trip? It looks at four things. Trip type sets the pattern, since an airport pickup, an hourly day and a wedding shuttle stress a vehicle in different ways. Passenger count sets the seats. Luggage sets the cargo space, and it is the input people underestimate most often. Route pressure covers timing: a flight arrival, several stops or a fixed event call time all call for more margin.
Treat the result as a starting point. It is a rule of thumb built from the same guidance on the fleet page, not a quote and not a promise that a particular vehicle is free on your date. The booking form confirms the class, the price and the terms.
Three situations the planner handles well
- A family landing at JFK or Newark. Four people with international luggage almost always need an SUV, even though four people fit in a sedan on paper. Set luggage to Heavy and see the difference.
- A roadshow day in Manhattan. Two executives with presentation cases and five meetings are an hourly job. Choose Hourly chauffeur or Multiple stops and plan the car to stay with them.
- A wedding party or team arrival. Past five or six people with bags, a Sprinter or a pair of vehicles keeps everyone together. See special events for group timing.
What to do next
Once the class is clear, check the rate card, then book on the reservation page or call (929) 841-2152. Airport-specific pickup notes are on the airports page.
Planner questions
Is the planner result a price quote?
No. The planner suggests a vehicle class from passengers, luggage and timing pressure. Prices come from the booking form or from dispatch, and the written confirmation is what applies.
What counts as heavy luggage?
More than one large checked bag per traveler, or anything bulky: golf clubs, skis, strollers, instrument cases, trade-show crates. When in doubt, choose Heavy and let dispatch confirm the fit.
When should I plan two vehicles instead of one?
When one vehicle cannot seat everyone with their bags, or when the party is arriving on different flights or heading to different places. Two cars can also be simpler than making one group wait for a late connection.
Can I plan an hourly day with the tool?
Yes. Choose Hourly chauffeur or Multiple stops to see the suggestion, then book hourly. Hourly reservations have a 3-hour minimum.
